Oxford. First published in the Weekly Dispatch Newspaper as one of a series of maps which were issued between 1856 and 1862, this map again appeared in the Weekly Dispatch Atlas of 1863 from which this example comes. It was drawn and engraved by J.W. Lowry, and printed by lithographic transfer. Remargined (to facilitate mounting) where separated from the Cambridge map which was printed below on the same sheet.
